Hey Hey Hey. I made it! I'm in the caribbean lol. Hope everyone is doing good. After twenty hours of traveling i'm finally here. The humidity is awesome here. I love you guys. Love Elder Plymale :)

He called us from the airport in Miami last night and said he had been up since 5am. His first flight was at 8am from Salt Lake to Dallas. Next was Dallsa to Miami then on to the DR. There were 2 groups of 15 going to the DR so he had plenty of missionaries to travel with. He said there are alot of great guys in his zone and that they all get along great. It's like they've known each other for years! He is so excited to be there. We miss his tons here but are excited for him in his new adventure!

Hola Familia! So chad lied! They do have stalls here for the showers. Thank goodness i was about to shower with some basketball shorts on. But yes everything is going good here. I leave in two days. I hear the MTC down there is really rough the first week. But then you learn the language super fast after that. I guess it's all about how diligent i am. So sorry if any spelling is wrong. Spanish really messes with your mind. But Sam was on the phone with a Dominican women who was like 200 years old haha and she was speaking SUPER fast and that he heard like monkeys and bugs (jungle sounds lol) haha boy am i in for a treat. But the D.R. MTC i hear is so nice. The rooms are converted hotel rooms and the food is super good. I'm stoked to be here even tho it's a little overwhelming here. I'll probably get to call you guys from a pay phone at the air port on wednesday so BE HOME. I wanna talk to the fam haha. I hope everything is going good there. Nothing bad i presume. But sorry i can't send pictures thru the email here. I'll probably got to down there tho. We have such funny pics. My zone no joke is like my friend group from Orem. We get along so well. Oh and Rachel......Just Kidding. I'm at summer camp and i'm coming home next week. Well i'll keep you guys posted as much as i can. Wish me luck. I love you all and stay safe. Remember i'm leaving my family for two years so families can be together forvever. I LOVE YOU GUYS :)

Hello family. I love you all! And i miss you guys. So not gonna lie, the spanish is a little overwhelming right now. Haha there's so much to learn and so little time. We got our travel plans!!! We leave november 25. That's like in nine days. It's so crazy. So this guy talked to us in Dominican Spanish. Bet you didn't think there was a difference did ya? WELL THERE IS! haha they drop all there S's and speak it super fast. Talk about running away like a frightened little girl. Which made us all realize how much spanish we DON'T know haha. We'll get it eventually. I just have to keep reminding my self who's on my side. Every sunday we have a fireside and you can feel the spirit SOO strong. Then we get to watch a movie. Last week we got to watch The Testiment and yeterday we watched the Joseph Smith Movie. Lol i pretty much cried thru the whole movie. It was awesome. So yes becca i can write to you. Everyone email me from their own email adresses then it will be personal. But i only have 30 mins to write. So not too long. Oh and you can write me letters too. Hey can you send me my blue satchel. I think i could use it. I love you guys. And i'll send pictures really soon. Oh and i'm doing great :)

Hola Familia!
How are you guys doing? I'm doing so good. I love the MTC. Everyone here is so nice. As soon as i got here we went straight to work. We can already pray and give our testimonies in espaƱol. I run into Elder Poulsen from time to time. Which is so awesome. I didn't think i would see him til after the mission. I found out that i leave to the D.R. MTC before he leaves. My companion is named Elder Herrmann from Lehi haha. He also lives by eaglecrest. What are the odds. We leave to the D.R. on the 25 of noviembre so we're all excited for that. After we leave here it's 100% spanish from here on out. Kind of crazy to think. But i love you all. And i miss you guys.I'll send pictures very soon for the blog.

Elder Plymale enters the MTC

Today, November 4th 2004 Elder Jacob Plymale entered the MTC. After a wonderful "brunch" with his family he was dropped off and handed over to numerous other missionaries waiting for his arrival. There were tears shed, but we all left very proud of his example and his willingness to serve. The people of the Dominican Republic are very lucky! We will miss him here, but we know he is in good hands.
